FNGA Foundation
Our 501(c)3 organization is created to distribute monies produced from the First Nations Golf Association to our native youths seeking higher education, native health organizations needing help for medicine, medical needs or wellness centers and other Native associates in need of volunteer services. Our National Foundation is designed to deliver specific needs to individuals, organizations and other Not-for-Profits establishments that are reaching out for help.
The representation we provide, whether it be money, volunteer time or transportation, our operational plan is not limited, but provides a wide scope in Nature to convey what First Nations Golf Association Foundation brings forth. Implementing the Foundations plan is conducted with unselfish acts of leadership, stability and communication. The intrinsic values that we inherit through the game of golf are the same values the Foundation apply when lending support to others.
Our designated operational plan lie within the criteria we set forth under the program guidelines of our Charitable Contributions Program. The First Nations Golf Association is driven by the sincere belief that participating in the game can positively impact an individual on several levels.
The FNGA operational goals include:
- Developing Youth Golf Programs in Indian Country to experience the game of golf and basic instruction.
- Developing programs focused on introducing youth to golf through caddying and other work-based programs and advanced educational opportunities.
- Emphasize programs, which are accessible and affordable to underprivileged high-risk youth.
- Supplement existing Tribal Youth, Health and Education Programs to teach Indian youth the important values of respect, honor, integrity, self-esteem, civic responsibility and confidence to broaden their goals.
- Strive to maintain our Tribal Cultural and Traditional Values and advance goals towards eliminating the high percentage of youth drop-out rates from school.
- Further economic development opportunities in Indian Country by holding First NGA tour stops on or near Tribally-Owned and operated facilities.
- Link Indian Youth Golf Programs with Golf 20/20 and JuniorLinks.com.
- Setup and implement a Scholarship Program for American Indian student athletes used for higher education.
Currently, Indian Country has several Youth Golf Programs, which are successful and need continued support. FNGA views this as an opportunity to strengthen these existing programs by providing funding to secure their financial futures. The FNGA goal is to leverage through public-private-corporate partnerships to significantly increase the impact of the initial contributions.
Financially, the Foundation has set specific dollar distributions for scholarships, health operations and volunteer work for our associate membership.
